Selling Crocheted Flowers?

This was an easy card to make, providing you don't count the fact that the 2 huge flowers are crocheted by hand! But seriously, they make this card! Strategically placed over the ribbon with a black onyx type brad in the middle. I also love the line of Hero Arts bling under the sentiment.
So I was thinking of selling packs of crocheted flowers and perhaps individuals with minimum order amounts so you could pick and chose, any thoughts? Would you like to be able to get some at a MUCH cheaper price then the stores and catalogs?? Let me know what you think, I literally have 100's of flowers!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #25

Hi everyone!! So glad you could join us again for another edition of the Loonie Stampers Challenge. This weeks selection was made by Wendy. I am sure we all bugged her about picking the purple, but honestly I like how these colors came together for this challenge.

The theme she picked to accompany the color selections was Birthday!! So I immediately went into my Paint Shop program and made these balloons to celebrate her challenge. I Love 'em!

So as always...on to the challenge. I DID NOT make a birthday card, but keeping with the theme chosen, made a birthday book.

I started by taking a composition book from the dollar store and used an x-acto knife and a metal ruler to cut off the binding. Then I FINALLY dusted off my Bind It All (that has never actually been used for a project) and covered the covers with Chocolate, then punched out the pages and covers.

Next I layered the Fizz and Lemon and included the polka dot parade paper that had the Plum pudding in it. Is that Cheating? No answers needed I don't care, it counts in my world...lol. I wrapped the saddle stitch Fizz ribbon into a bow and attached the whole thing to my book.

Last I took little pieces of fizz card stock and made tabs (which I mistakenly hand wrote, next time I will take a bit more time and stamp with simple Alpha) I also need to work out the spacing of the tabs. But over all I am very happy with it.

Don't forget to visit the ladies and link up your projects. I know there are many MANY of you lurking out there that would like to play.

Smooching Cupcakes!

I kinda like this card but seriously need to use my Copics more! I must be hooked on bling since last Friday because all my cards are blingy. This card has a strip of rhinestones along the bottom of the pattern paper. By the way, is the new pattern paper from PTI not the best black patterns you have ever seen? I love them! Well I am off to try and create "Something" from our new challenge selection for tomorrows Loonie Stampers Challenge. Be sure to come back and see what my 3:00 am adventures in my craft room may bring!

Heart Shaped Bling

I FORGOT that I even had this bling. Can you believe that?! I certainly could have used this for Maria's LSC Challenge last Friday. Anyway I combined it with some great new K&Company valentines papers & Papertrey's Raspberry Fizz Grosgrain Ribbon. I stamped the envelope to match and also the little heart in the bottom right is stamped on the adhesive paper and punched out for an envelope seal.

simple inside!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Fresh Baked....

...for you! The other night my BFF (the one who makes all the super cute cakes and cookies) asked if I would be able to make a box around 8x8 for some delicious Valentine's Day Cookies she plans to sell. So I fiddled around this evening and came up with this. I think it ought to do the trick! I made the shell from Pattern paper (12x12) and then I reinforced it with a thinner chipboard. Then once that was secure I made a liner from another piece of patterned paper.

Here is a side view of the box. I really hope that it works for what she wanted to do. I may even bake some of the cookies she was going to make and see how well they fit in there.

Anyway See you again soon, I have a lot of posts this week.

Supplies: PTI Pink Patterns paper, Basic grey for bottom. PTI Stamps & ink. Ribbon from Taylored expressions, spellbinders, EK heart punches.

Forever is a long time...

...and I am glad! this is a card I would give to Curtis (my DH). I say would because I don't know if I can part with it, it is so purdy! I don't think he would mind if I showed it to him and told him what I might have wrote in it....LOL
The images on this card are clear cut acetate from a company called little yellow bicycle.

Loonie Stampers Challenge #24

You heard it here folks! Bring---on---the----BLING!! Thanks to Maria for this weeks challenge picks, she wants us to get in touch with our inner woman, you know her, the one who loves ALL things sparkly! So this is my card. I actually made a different one but I think I may keep it secret until I decided if I am going to submit it or not, so here is a substitute card.
My darling boss from Gaslamp Village Web Design Studio came over last weekend (with her eye Candy on her arm so he could have a look at my leaking ceiling...lol) and we had coffee and she gave me a little pressie for taking calls for her a while ago. It was $100 gift certificate to one our LSS. So, the point of my chattering, I went today and bought a ton of stuff including this new beautiful paper. I added some vintage lace, bling from Michael's and some cute felt letters!

Now go check out my loonie friends and see what they made.....Don't forget to link us up if you play along! Happy Friday and see you again soon!

KWerner COlor Inspiration #39 again

OK I was going to keep this card under wraps but I just can not do it...So here is another card I made for KW #39. I LOVE this Card!

The rows of little stamp flowers are from Papertrey Inks Around & About set! Which I love! I accented the stamped flowers with some bling flowers and then added some primas. I also stamped the straight Sentiments from around & about onto my PTI fresh snow twill with pure poppy ink.

This is the inside of my card. I finished it off to match entirely to the front of the card!

Thanks for visiting today! See you again soon and hopefully for some new KW Color Inspirations and maybe some old ones as well!

KWerner COlor Inspiration #39

Well this is my first ever Color Challenge of Kristina's, Can you believe that? I tell you I have seen all the color swatches that she has done and they are all nice, but this was so striking that I had to do it. It also helps that I just got my Papertrey ink order today and had to use some new goodies. Note: I used all papertrey colors.

It is a pretty simple card and I love it. I started on the PTI new True Black card stock and covered it with this sparkle damask pattern paper. Then I added strips of ribbon across. Then I filled the gaps between the ribbon with the sentiment strips from Around & About stamped in pure poppy, ripe avocado & Lemon Tart.

Here is a closer look at the stamped words. I love those sentiment strips they are so perfect for SO many things! I had a lot of fun making this card with the KW Challenge and I will have another one to post tomorrow (in a few hours) for the Loonie Stampers Challenge as well.

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs & Kisses

I have some "insider" crafters info for you....Martha is the bomb. I know a few people locally that will not buy anything Martha due to her stay in camp cupcake... the best prison for celebs, but I have to tell you....I don't care! She knows her stuff in the crafty world. I found these glamorous glitter sticky letters at Walmart for $5 bucks! (yeah they are like $9 bucks at M's.....Pfft) SO I combined the cute letters with some new Valentines K & Company papers and voila!

Goodies from Taylored Expresions

I received some goodies from Taylored Expressions last week and have not had much time to play. I did however HAVE to show you! I know I LOVE these cute little cupcakes, they remind me of my Best Friend Sarah. She makes the cutest most delicious cakes and cupcakes...mind you most of them do not have faces, but cute none the less (ok that was a little inside joke just for you Char!)

Anyway, because I have a few of the TE sets now I decided to get her stamp storage case, um yeah I love it!! The vday cupcake set, had to have it!!! I can not wait to get these little cupcakes dirty!!! I also picked up one of these calendar hanging holder thingies? Yes that is the technical name that I am giving it...SO cute. Now all I have to do is figure out just what exactly am going to do with it...LOL Isn't that the grand question after all.

OoooooooooooooooooooooooooooH, I know that picture above has me drooling as well. This is a close up picture of how my yummiest (word or not I typed, mmmm hmmm I did!) Papertrey * American Craft ribbons. Which can only mean....I did it, I bought a ribbon ring. I have to say I LOVE it. Although I do have the coolest ribbon holder thingy my dad built and I will keep it I just love how the ribbon ring neatly organizes, holds it there with no slipping or falling and the whole time turns my hoarded ribbon into room decor!! Yup! I will be going back for more!!!!!

After my Youngest Daughter, McKenzie, saw this ribbon hanging she blurted out, Oh Mommy I have pretty stringy thingy too? Such a funny girl.

Ok well I will be back again tomorrow with a new cute card to show you. Lets just say that I have some new Martha to show ya!

Remember this?

I posted this cute all wrapped up box made with divine Raspberry Fizz patterned paper from Papertrey Ink for loonie stampers challenge 22. Well at that time I had not decided what I wanted to do to it. Well, I decided. What do you think?

I made a set of 8: Each set has an envelope, one piece of "dressed" stationary and an additional blank page to provide more text room. I like it!

My Baby Girl is 5!!

Today is my baby girl's birthday! I can not believe she is 5 already. Since it is winter and she has recently fallen in love with skating we decided to do a skating party. So we are going to the rink and rented the birthday room that they have there. Here is the goody package all 16 kids will be getting on top of pizza, cake and cookies.
This is a close up of the note books and candy pouches. I simply cut patterned paper 6.5 x 5. 25 and glued a 3x5 note pad into it. The note pads came in packs of 5 for a dollar at the Dollar Giant.

Awwww! Don't they all look cute!! I love them so much I may do valentine ones for her class...Heck they are simple enough I could do one for each of the 100 kids in her school (not that I am that crazy)

Hopefully I will be back in a few days with pictures of the Birthday party!!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #23

Edited To Add: I mentioned below about my Sister in Law possibly winning a trip to Jamaica on the radio and it is her birthday....well she WON IT!!! My brother is absolutely beside himself with excitement. Then to top it off she also won the birthday file on another radio station, so when she phoned them she actually said "yeah well guess what I won from My 96 this morning" That girl cracks me up!! So Congrats to Cory & Rhonda!!
This week was Dee's selection and I must say I knew this combo is gonna be a keeper for card after card. However I am so late making /posting this card that I am not to thrilled with it. I did make it for some specific though.

Today is my Oldest Brother's Wife's birthday (did you get all that?) anyway our local radio station is currently doing a contest for a "Jet away to Jamaica" trip, and she was selected as a finalist a few days ago. Anyway, happy Birthday to Rhonda and I hope by the time you get this card I have to add a Congratulations stamp to the inside. The contest finishes on the air today!

Don't forget to visit the ladies links below and also link up your creations!!

And now I bring you....the reason I am not sleeping much! I dare to click the picture and look at a larger view....it really is much scarier!!

This ......is my ceiling after too much partying with the snow that melted into my attic and through my hallway ceiling. Just for the record this ceiling is plaster which makes matters worse. How many people do you know that actually still handle plaster??? Not many my friends. So I am hoping before my oldest brothers wife wins a trip to Jamaica he will come over and tell e he can help since he is in the drywall profession. This folks is going to be a damn long weekend as we are supposed to have all that nice "melt the snow off your roof and into your attic again" kind of weather. For the first time in a loooooooong time I have a reason to wish for a cold weekend. My boss/friend called and said she is going to lend me her boyfriend (get your minds out of the gutter) as he owns his own roofing company in Edmonton and said he will try and patch us up this weekend when he is here.

I know, only 5? am mean, she wanted to invite, oh yeah ...The whole world. But with a large family, friends we could only have 5 from school. Anyway, Next week I should have a bunch more phtots, including another great cake from Sarah. Just wait until you see what she has planned!!!

Valentine's Day Purse

So here is a little set that I made a week ago or so that I am also selling. I just love the Papertrey Ink Card boxes for this purpose.

This set is made with one have of the clearly creative card boxes at Papertrey Ink. Then I used Dark Chocolate and Sweet Blush papers to decorate it. The Happy Valentine's Day stamp is from an unknown company, the Hearts are Heart Prints from Papertrey and of course punched out with the matching punch. The to & from is from an old Stampin Up Christmas Set called Perfect Presentation.
Speaking of Stampin' Up! I have my new catalogs that start January 19th. Let me just say I will be reserving a great deal of money to place an order asap. I LOVE a lot of the new stuff, mostly the Designer Series Papers (not that I need more, but I still want it an that is a good enough reason to buy it all right?) The new embellishments, kits and some of the stamp sets are really appealing to me..... can not wait!
Funny thing is I had a girl rudely make a comment basically saying I "Stole" this idea from another girl here in town. If you are reading, I assure I did not as I haven't seen much of your stuff and made this set last year as well. Beside if I was going to "case" and Idea I would give credit where credit is due and she does for me also. So anyways that is my vent for now...LOL. Some people never cease to amaze me!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #22

ETA: This project made the Shout Out list ovar at Card Of The Week... I am so excited to be on a list with such GREAT company (Including LSC's Dee in the boxes category)...Go Check ou the Lists they are a great resource of wonderful projects!!

Isn't this one fun? See I told you that you didn't want to miss it!! This one was Regan's turn to pick and she wanted us to use pink to alter any item...CAN NOT BE A CARD...that is SO fun!!!

Ok so I didn't exactly go so far outside the box, in fact I am not even sure if this actually counts as it is made from a template. It is pink, not a card and I am in love with it...LOL

This is the outside of my "All Wrapped Up" box! It's all wrapped up in Raspberry fizz paper and fizz mix pattern papers. The outside is relatively blank but I am unsure what I am going to use this for just yet. I think I may make it a stationary set and add it to my store.

Here is the beautiful inside...I am SO in love with this patterned paper. I think it is Papertrey's best yet and the rumor in blog world is they will release a stamp set that matches those pretty florals this month!!!

I think A stationary set would work well in here if I put the envies in one side and folded the notes into the other side. I even put the inner pockets a little higher up so perhaps I can find a way to mount a pen in the spine.

Don't forget to go see what my Lady friends cooked up and please make something and hurry back and leave a link in the comments section. See you for the LSC Next Week!!!

Using up Kits

I always find that I am buying stuff and ot using it. I bought a couple of the Baby Girls simply scrappin kits from stampin up last year and hadn't really used a bunch of it yet. I was able to use up some of the kit making this card.
A friend that worked in the same mall as me had a baby girl a while back and his is the card that I made for her. I don't think that I have posted this before but frankly, I am to lazy to go back and look...lol.
The card is 4.25 square and super bulky!! The strips going across are all parts of the card stock sticker borders and then I pierced in between some of them.

This is the inside of the card. The flowers and stems are also the card stock stickers. I stamped the happy new baby from the bitty baby blessings stamp set (Papertrey Ink) on a tiny tag from Cuttlebug.
All in all it turned out pretty good and I am so glad that I did not have to mail this baby!

Supplies: Stampers select, dark chocolate card stock & ink, Spring Moss card stock, bitty baby blessings stamp set (Papertrey Ink). All Card stock Stickers, buttons, Congratulations Stamp, twine and piercing tool (Stampin Up). Lace from Trends (walmart). tag (Cuttlebug).

See you all tomorrow for a super fun new style challenge from the Loonie Stampers Challenge! You DON'T want to miss this one.

The Best Teachers!

I love the Teacher's Apple set from Papertrey Ink. It is by far the best I have seen in this category of stamps, not that there are many out there. I plan to make a few more of these as there are so many great teachers out there I think my Family members would love to give to their kids teachers.!!

And of course here is the inside picture, which I have not done lately on all my cards. I used layered pure poppy under the white but scalloped the edge first. I thought it really dressed up the inside, enough that the only thing I felt it needed was a couple little red apples. Please Note: These apples are from the Limitless Labels set from PTI not the Teacher's Apple Set.
Supples: Baja Breeze C/S (SU), Kraft, Pure Poppy & Stampers Select C/S (PTI), Baja Breeze ink (SU), Pure Poppy Ink (PTI), Hounsdtooth embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle & Mega circle. Teacher's Apple & Limitless Labels Stamps (PTI), Pure Poppy Saddle Stitched Ribbon (PTI), Slot Punch (SU).

THANKS...a bunch!

Isn't this color fabulous? It is my new favorite I think which is odd because if you know me well, you likely already know that I am not a huge fan of pink. But Raspberry Fizz is SO vibrant how can you not be happy looking at this color. I also enjoyed using a new stamp from SU that is going to be in the new catalog from a hostess set called "A Little Somethin'"
Supplies: Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist & Stamper's Select c/s, Raspberry fizz mix pattern papers, raspberry fizz perfect match palette ink, Lavender Moon Saddle stitched ribbon All from Papertrey Ink. A Little Somethin' Stamp Set, and Pale Plum Ink from Stampin Up!, Rhinestone Flwer from Michael's. Other: 1 3/4 circle punch (SU), Scalloped Circle (Spellbinders)

Anyway, enough blubbering here is a card I made quite some time ago and just never posted...Enjoy!

River rock stitched ribbon, Chocolate Chip Twill, Pretty in Pink 1/4 Grosgrain ribbon, Pattern Paper - Pretty in Pink prints (Hostess paper pad) all from Stampin' Up! Loonie Stampers Challenge #21 X 3

Tell me that these 4 colors are not FANTASTIC together?!?!?! CHAR picked it good this week!!! I loved them so much that once I did the first card, I was SO inspired I did a second and a third! I also do not see and end in the near future of using these colors. So Enjoy my massive post today and don't forget to visit my girls.

So this card I used a Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' set, which I LOVE. I plan on making a flippy album thingy (yes that is the technical name for it) For McKayla's Birthday pictures. Her B-day is coming up on the 18th of January and she will be 5. So this card is for her!! I used my Top Notes die that I just got from SU and I cut out sweet blush and the PP. I trimmed the perforated edge of the note on the PP and layered it on the blush. I also distressed the edge of it a bit. The Make a wish portion is some of the Card stock sticker border from the set as is the cupcake, candle, flower, happy circle, the 5 and the th.

The inside...So beautiful I hate to write on it with my messy handwriting...lol

Don't you just love the dimension? Ok I don't care if you don't, I do! haha

This next card, I stamped the baja layer with the swirly flower from the PTI Garden of Life set in fresh snow. (it matches the swirls in the heart, that Nichole is so clever). Anyways I embossed it with some clear sparkle stuff and stamped the mini heart all over with versamark. then I added the spring moss ribbon over scalloped red. I stamped the sentiment also from the Heart Prints set. Last I stamped with fresh snow onto pure poppy card stock and punched it out. Then I added the eyelet and string to make them into balloons. I may go back on this card and add crystal effects to them to add more of a balloon look to them.

This card was ridiculously easy peezy! I layered the tree colors after adding ribbon. Tied a quick bow and added it. Then I used glue dots to adhere the leafy ribbon that my dear friend Char bought for me (Thanks Babe!) then I stuck some SO CUTE Martha Gerbs to the card. Quickly Stamped the bloom where you are planted sentiments from Spiral Bouquet and presto. Cute Card, Little Time.
