Butterfly House

 I haven't had a whole lot of time to be crafty but I have been playing with my camera so i figured I would share some of my favorite captures! 
These are some pictures of my recent visit to the Butterfly House in Medicine Hat.

Some Stamp Cataloging

Since I have started to get back into my craft room after  MONTHS of neglecting this room and all my pretty things, I thought it would be REALLY wonderful if I could easily decide what stamp set I wanted to work with. If only I could flip through a book and say "I wanna use that set" and instantly be able to pull it out. I have started with my Papertrey Ink Stamp Sets. I went through the website and my stamps sets, painstakingly one by one, and saved the image file to my computer. Then My wonderful Husband printed off all the sheets for me.

This evening I spent hours cutting them and pasting them onto old card stock that I dont like or use (the garbage paper I used to use before PTI or SU paper....lol) I am quite happy with how it turned out. I used a color couture binder from Papertrey ink to put them in, LOVE it!! I also wrote the name of each set on the papers aand listed whether or not it has a die to go with it. I may even start a book of just my dies.

Next I need to buy another binder and do the same thing for my Stampin' up Stamps and whatever other companies i have :) Hope you all enjoy seeing my new organizing :)

A new Goal

I just bought a new TV and blue ray player for craft room. It has inspired me to have a new goal...I am going to get that room cleaned and reorganized (possibly even have a trip to IKEA in Calgary for new cabinets) Once it is clean and reorganized I am going to try and start using the many new stamp sets and dies that have yet to even be unpackaged.......anyway here is a card I made last night. :)

Happy First Birthday Alexa!!

I know it has been MONTHS since I was on my blog, let alone posting on it, but here I am! My Craft Room has mostly been a dumping ground for things that needed to be stashed away in order to clean other areas of the house. Literally you could not even walk in the room never mind craft a card. 

Anyway, a friend Photographer of mine wanted to do a picture for her College course of people who collect things; I collect crafty things, especially RIBBON! SO that was incentive for me to clean up the mess. Not to mention my Cutie Patootie Niece just turned one (She was sick with RSV and in hospital and got out ON her birthday, Poor Thing) and I needed a super cute card for a super cute kid!

Here is the INSIDE!!!

After crafting this card with some new materials (mostly purchased months ago with the intention of getting crafty) I dug out the Awesome Camera my hubby bought me for my birthday. Slowly but surely I am learning to use it a bit. Well thanks for stopping in to visit, hopefully I will be back again soon.

HBD Tags

Finally Some descent pictures! I have finally replaced my old broken down camera...I was getting so frustrated with it not working and have been taking pictures for MONTHS with an iphone. Not ideal for these kinds of pictures. Hubby bought me a Canon Rebel T3 in a hot red color for my birthday Last Saturday so I am back in business. Just have to figure out how it really works...LOL

Thinking of you

I just received my Papertrey Order a few days ago and it was a big one. I ordered around $350 worth of product since my husband didn't bother to get me anything for our 10 year wedding anniversary...hehe Anyway, with both my girlies being in school full time now I am taking FULL advantage of my craft room, that is until I rip it all apart and remodel it...again! Just wanted to share a couple cards I made with the new Simple Sunflower stamps I bought.

So this is the first card I made and it did not turn out quite like I was hoping. It wont go in the scrap pile but it inspired me to try something else.....

So I used the same layout of the flowers and script but on plain white which is very out of character for me, but in this case the plainess of the layout sells me on this card!!

And here is a shot showing the dimension with the multi layered foam squares

Back to School Paper Bag Album

Happy Hump Day Everyone!!

Yesterday I did some catching up on my google reader and noticed that The Loonie Stampers Challenge is back up and running after their summer break. The theme picked by Wendy last week was School Theme. That inspired me to post this little project I finished over the summer.

I have started making product for the annual craft show I always do right before Christmas and this is officially the first item I made to get me going this year (as a matter of fact I made two like this)

This is the cover of the album and also a little "peek a boo" on the front cover. You will notice most of the paper and things used in the book are from the "Elementary" line from Simple Stories by Memory Works...I LOVE that paper! Anywho here is the rest of the book!

September.....

Well hello everyone! I hope everyone had a great and wonderful Summer. I had a pretty good one. Great friends, New Deck and backyard landscaping done this summer and because of that we enjoyed MANY barbeque's at our house. Now that school is back in and BOTH my girls are in school I seem to have an entirely empty schedule so i am hoping to spend as much time crafting as I can. For now I am going to play catch up with all the things  I made this summer but didn't get around to posting.

Starting with this little card. I think it is my Favorite one of the summer!!

Mr. & Mrs

Over this last weekend, My boss and his wife renewed their wedding vows. Everyone at work chipped in money to get them a gift certificate to a cabin resort and spa in the area, which we thought be nice considereing they have FIVE BOYS. Escape may be a nice thing...lol. 

Anyway, this is the card I made to go with it and yes, it is purple as those we her colors. Its kinda growing on me.

Heart and Stroke Foundation

Mckayla is excited to raise money at her jump-a-thon in Memory of Grandpa Pat. The timing is wonderful since it is almost his birthday/fathers day on June 19th and the Anniversary of his passing June 20th. Please help he by donating online or arrange to donate cash before June 8th.
