LSC-Loonie Stamper's Challenge #1

Welcome to my first edition of the Loonie Stamper's Challenge! Ok, Let me explain. My friends Charlene, Regan & Deanna are all avid Papertrey Ink Fans and we are always bouncing in and out of the forums (when we can tear ourselves away from our inking spots) So one day, Char (I think, yeah I am pretty sure it was her...lol) came up with this great idea for the four of us Canadian Girlies to have our very own challenge to be held every 2 weeks. Each rotation one of us will be picking a PTI stamp set and a colour combo!

Up first (LSC01) is Chars turn.

*Stamp Set - Piece of Cake
*Colours - Aqua Mist/Berry Sorbet/Chocolate Chip
I picked Chocolate chip as my base (even though I only have 2 sheets left.....waaaaaah!!) Next I took some aqua mist paper and cut it to 5 x 3.75 and watermarked the flowers from the set all over it.
Then I embossed a piece of Stamper's Select with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder and attached 3 stripes of PTI twill in aqua mist & berry sorbet.
For my focal point I started by cutting the scalloped circle
layer from berry sorbet card stock with my marvy giga punch. Then I cut the white circle with the marvy mega circle. Once I did that I decided it needed a layer of aqua mist. SO I cut it out with my coluzzle (which desperately needs a new blade, hence the
roughed edges...good cover up ;)
I stamped my images and added Liquid Pearls to the centers of all the flowers. Then I took out the "plastic circle thingy" that Char sent me (I think it is a plastic canvas circle?) and I pierced just inside the white circle, all the way around. Thanks Char...it worked like a charm!
On the inside of the card I added strips of the leftover papers along the bottom of my white. The I stamped the berry sorbet strip with versamarked flowers.
After that I kinda stepped outside the LSC and grabbed my birthday sentiments from the Birthday Basics set to finish off the card. I know, I know first round and I am already breaking the rules....hey wait! Is that actually a rule...hmmm! LOL.
Well I hope Y'all have enjoyed my contribution to Loonie Stamper's Challenge!! Don't forget to peek in on my partners in crime
*Charlene - Willow & Paisley
Hope you all will tune in again in two weeks for the next edition of LSC!!!
