Saved Rejects

These cards did not turn out anything like I intended them too. But before they hit the trash I quickly added a few more birthday theme stamping to them and decided they would be great kids birthday cards. With a few kid bdays coming in June, these will be perfect!
I really like the top one, bottom...mmmm not so much!

Thanks for coming to see me today!

Thinking of You

I had an order for the flower shop again and let me tell you....I needed that. It got my creative juices flowing again. I have spent hours in my craft room and have not done that in weeks.

This card, surprisingly, is made from all stampin up products. Even though some of the products are retired I love them!! I must also say that it was not until this year that I purchased a few of the markers (probably the first demo to not have any for the 2 years I have been a demo...lol) I love them for custom coloring the stamps as I did with this one.

LSC #40 for real this time

Better late then never, right?
This is the little card I made for my Niece's third birthday....this was a hard challenge for me. I guess that's actually why they call them challenges.
Have a great Long weekend folks!

My "not really a LSC card"

Today's post is a little different then it was supposed to be. I PROMISE I was going to make this card in line with this weeks LSC. However, after doing a little cutting here and there I just was not " feeling it". So this is what I am presenting instead. Sorry I do not have time today to start over. This card took 2 hours to make as is and I have a BIRTHDAY PARTY to get to soon.
My Friend Tanis turned the big 3-0 today and I needed a super special card for a super special friend. So before we continue I have to say another friend of ours is surprising her with a "wonky cake" or mad hatter cake whatever you want to call it. So i thought it would be incredibly fun to make a card that was in the same shape.
The top layer of the cake is glued together. Since the card is almost 11 inches tall I had to have a way to make it fold so that is what I did. The top layer is stamped and embossed white with a pattern from Papertrey's Retro Background set. Then it is dressed with a summer sunrise bow, a teal crocheted flower (made by yours truly) and a new leaf button.
The middle layer, although not chocolate like the cake will be, is still very delicious. I used my Damask Designs set to clear emboss on new leaf card stock. You know a little lace, little rick rack....mmmmmmmmm!
The last layer is complete with sentiment, more crocheted flowers and more ribbon. I REALLY hope that she likes it....and regardless I think I am going to submit this to Papertrey's GSS...so no copying...LOL I'm kidding.
Thanks fr coming folks, sorry it is not the proper LSC but I will try and make one this weekend. Gotta run...Thanks for stopping by today!

LSC...

I am so sorry. I am delinquent again... I am hoping to be back really soon with a special card for my friend's 30th birthday....

Thanks for stopping in today! See you back here tomorrow for the next installment of the Loonie Stampers Challenge....all I have to say is...It should be interesting to see what comes of this weeks task!

Thanks So Much!!

Hello all and happy Hump Day!
I had to make a few cards last week which was weird I have been so busy I barely have time to visit the most sacred room of my house. Its sad really. But I had fun making this card.

I used my Marvy Punches to punch out some pattern paper. Then I added the stem from this really awesome vine ribbon from Taylored Expressions. She has it in Brown and Black and Papertrey Ink has it in Green.

Of course the inside...and oddly enough it is almost y favorite part of the card.

OK well I don't have a whole lot left to say, I am hoping to get into my craft room today to make a super special 30th Birthday card for my bets pal Tanis....cant show you though, I think she still reads my blog from time to time. Wish me luck, my mojo has been hit and miss.

Spring Seed Packets

Every Month My Friend Sarah arranges a basket for the local Sylvan Learning Center to use as a raffle. She bakes and decorates amazing cookies, My friend Tanis makes the most adorable chocolates and I always do a card and some sort of paper project. We all stay within the theme of the month. This month was obviously for Mother's Day and since we are only just getting around to having spring I thought Seed packets would be super cute....SO I did a couple sets and here they are!
This packet is adorned with 2 of my new colors of Crocheted Flowers. The blue is completely new and the Goldenrod Yellow is a slightly brighter version of the yellow I ran out of a few months ago.

On each of the sets the band just slides on and off but works perfectly to keep the packet tidy and closed for great presentation.

Thanks for stopping to check out my blog today. Remember, if you would like some flowers you can always check out my Etsy Store or you can EMAIL ME for a price list and color samples to make a custom order!!!

Neapolitan Attack

Remember that Ice Cream??? Love it. Anywho, that is what this color combo ALWAYS makes me think of. Seriously, who can ever get enough of the pink/brown combo? Not I, Jedi!
Alright, so I started with a blank piece if white card stock and stamped out some wicked background paper using my new Guide Lines Two set from Papertrey Ink. LOOOOOVE it!! Then I started cutting it away to make a set of cards all from the same paper.
This card I borrowed the ruffled ribbon idea from Dawn McVey, everyone is doing it now...it's the "cool" ribbon in the hood. Ok I am clearly running with a lack of sleep, can you tell? LOL

I love that paper clip...It is even the very paper clip used on my website! The only difference is I had placed a round blingy thingy on it.

For this card I didn't have enough paper left over so I just punched out the circles and made it work with the set.

Now I just have to actually hook up my printer so I can print out some nifty templates from Lauren Meader and make a nice card box for them!

Well it is getting late as usual and I really should go to bed. Thanks for stopping by!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #39

This week for the Loonie Stampers Challenge it was my dear friend Char's turn to pick the colors. Because of my recent business and lack of mojo I decided to CASE one of Niki's cards. She does some seriously amazing work!!

Of course I did change the colors but also added my sentiment on there in a different style. I placed my crocheted flower on top of my bow and then finished it off with a button.!!

Thanks for coming to see me today and don't forget to visit the other ladies blogs!

LSC #38...again

Ok so I admit I made that last one earlier and HAD to make a fresh one......This is a card I am completely in love with. I used dark Chocolate and Vintage Cream ink from Papertrey ink to stamp several different branches from the stamp set Life. I then added a simple strip of ribbon and some of my Vanilla colored flowers and also a mini Chocolate flower. I will be adding all my flowers to my etsy store soon available in individual color packs (20 colors).

Oh and I have to share a tiny picture from my room. I just added a few more cubes from M's and then put this hutch on top. I bought a second hand computer desk for my DH and it came with this hutch (which he didn't like) so I instantly knew what to do with it.

My Favorite thing about this arrangement is.....underneath the hutch. used the 3M tabs that can pull away from the wall easily to store my Nesties on. I put each group of nesties on binder rings and then stuck them up there...Love it!!

Thanks for stopping by and I will see you all again soon!
