Holiday Treats for you

This is another cookie bag that I made. Thursday's post I mentioned I was doing bag and card sets, but I have also decided to make just the bags. The best part about these is that I use mostly scraps to make them. How perfect is that? Yikes 6 days left until the craft Fair (although I am sure you will be seeing the projects from it for a while yet)

Thanks for stopping by!! See you tomorrow!

LSC #63

Welcome to the Loonie Stampers Challenge again this week!
This weeks selection is from Char and she picked some fun and funky colors.

I must say I keep a very limited amount of orange on hand but I did happen to have this cute crocheted trim in my stash from an Etsy store. I thought it added a great touch to the decorated bag perfect for some holiday baking! I am making about 30 of these cuties with matching cards for the craft show coming in November.....

Thanks for stopping in to check out the LSC this week. Don't forget to visit the other ladies.

Plus if you play along with us please leave us a comment so we can come and check it out!
Have a fabulous week end everyone!!

This Year I Wish...

... That I had more time to make these! I had a lot of fun making this scrapbook (5.5 square) out of linen textured envelopes. I used a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin up. I kinda {wish} that I had another kit, it went far. I made 3 mini albums 8 full size cards, 9 mini cards and I still have a fair amount left. Anywho, enough blabbing...go look at the rest of the album :)

I used four envies and the middle two I left the envelope flap out so I
could use them as pockets...LOVE how it looks.

Thanks for peeking in today!! See you tomorrow for some more fun Christmas cards using my scraps from this kit!!

Loonie Stampers Challenge #59

ETA: I had scheduled my post to go live on Friday and I messed up on the publish date. Sorry guys! and Hear I thought I was ahead of the game because I had it done last Tuesday!

This weeks challenge was hard for me... I LOVE layers but we can only do a single layer card. So this is one that I came up with. I used a couple of rub ons and added gems to the tree and a cute little ribbon. Definitely was not as hard as I thought and I likes it!!

My girls are all in Delaware right now (I miss you guys & hope you are having a blast!!)
but they have still done their LSC so go check them out!!

Let Christmas Begin!

Ok, so I hate snow and cold and all that but I do enjoy making Christmas cards. I am afraid to tell you that you will see a lot on the blog for a while. I have decided to do a 2 craft market in town. A friend of mine gave me some GREAT pointers from the years that she was in it.

I have only just started making cards and I have a pretty large goal of cards and paper crafted goodies to sell. I have 6 weeks to get my act together.....wish me luck!

Adious!

Casing a Genius

I Love ALL things Nichole Heady does in the paper crafting world. I love her stamp sets, her Perfect Match and everything creates with them. During the release of Snowflake Serenade she made a card similar to this but showcased the Faux Silk Technique and so I changed it up a little and I am in LOVE with the results.

I do not often like just red, green and white on Christmas cards as I don't "do" traditional Christmas. With the right tools and a great "case" I might even make a few more of this card.

Snowflakes & Mittens

Luckily we have not had to drag those mittens out yet...knock on wood. Can you believe that?!? The middle of November in Western Canada and we are still going out in light jackets. I wish it would stay all the way until Christmas Eve.
On to the card....

I stamped Soft sky (last years SU In color....cause my second aqua mist pad is like stamping water) Snowflakes from the snowfall and snowfall additions sets onto stampers select. Then I used some more new beautiful Christmas paper from the line "Snowy Jo Glitter Paper" from Imaginisce. LOVE it, Love it, love IT! I ordered from a store in Hamilton, Ontario...very cool and cheap shipping within Canada.....www.discountscrapbooksupplies.com

So after I layered 2 of the nice patterns I stamped the snowflakes and mittens in white craft and embossed with iridescent Ice. Then I cut everything out and arranged in my card. Other then that it is blank inside and out for sentiments....I am leaving it open for thought...LOL

'O Christmas Tree

This is just a simple card for a Customer, hopefully she likes it. I used my new DSP from K&Company's Christmas Cheer Specialty Papers. If you have not seen them in your LSS or at Michael's with a 40 or 50% coupon, you really should it is SO pretty!

The trees are stamped in Versa on Black c/s and heat embossed white. Both trees are from the PTI set Merry & Bright Additions. Brilliant set I love it!!

Ok later people....

A Christmas Shaker

When I was in Calgary in August, Char gave me some of the sticky stuff squares that you can use to make shakers and can you believe I am only just trying it?? I love how it looks though so she may have got me addicted...hehe.
The base of this card is Basic Black from SU and then followed by Stamper's Select (PTI) and then Silver Shimmer (PTI). I embossed the silver Shimmer twice. Once with the snowflakes folder just a few inches at the bottom and then again just above that with the Swiss dots strip. I separated the two styles of embossing with last years SU Soft Sky In Color stitched ribbon.

Then I took a piece of scalloped square on board chipboard from SU and inked it black with a dauber, applied the thin sticky strip square to the back side and covered it with acetate. I then added the foam square sticky. Next I poured a small amount of fine glitter from Martha Stewart Crafts onto the acetate BEFORE peeling off the other side of the foam sticky. Then I took my already stamped square and applied it to the foam. Viola! I adorned it with 2 different styles of snowflakes...one is punched out with the marvy snowflakes punch and the top blue one is the felt flurries from SU.

Well that is all folks!! See ya again soon!

Black & White Challenge...

It was not an official challenge from any group or website or anything like that. I have a very nice customer who asked me to do some Christmas samples and she said she liked black and white and perhaps a soft teal. Hmmmmmmmm...ok! I have to admit I found this to more challenging then even some of the Loonie Stampers Challenges. But at any rate here are some of my samples....Some of these cards are inspired by others I have seen out there.

The middle card is my Favorite so here are a few more pics of it. This card was inspired by a beautiful card I found on Me, My Stamps & I. Anyways I love how it looked and thought black and white and a few changes it may work for my customer. I hope she likes it and I hope you like it too!

drum roll please.....yes the inside...LOL

Ok folks I will try to post more this week since my new floors and new bathroom are almost done and I may eve try and get some pictures!!

Holiday Wishes Supplies:
basic Black c/s (SU)
Aqua Mist & Stampers Select c/s (PTI)
2008 Holiday Tag Collection (PTI)
Border Punch and Cedar punch ( Martha Stewart)
Other: cuttlebug emboss folder, dollarstore ribbon, stampendous black emboss powder

Silver on Silver

I love they way silver heat embossing looks on silver paper. This silver paper is from Papertrey's release last month and along with the Night sky blue, is to die for!!
I started by cutting the silver to 5.25 x 4 and then stamped the background builder stamp from Merry & Bright right in the top center of the silver. Because you can not see the versamark on the CS I had to do the heat emboss and then stamp again, do the heat emboss until it was completed all the way along. I LOVE it!!!
I also love the shape. That shape is available through spellbinders soon and also through Stampin up for the Big Boss. I don't have either of them...yet. So I drew the design free hand on the back of the card stock. Once I was happy with the outline I cut it out and added the paper pierced borders.

Here is a bit of a side profile to show you the silver on silver and how it just gleams. I finished off the card by adding the new silver ribbon on top of Dark Chocolate twill. Then I cut out an oval using my nesties and heat embossed the sentiment from Merry & Bright in silver. I then added the baubles which are from stamping bella.

Sandylion Snowman!

Just another quick and cute card! I used the DCWV Christmas paper pack, Some Pure Poppy (which is my new fav red), a piece of paper altered chipboard and finished with a SandyLion Snowman!! Sentiment is from take a bough Papertrey Ink. Look how the "g"s fit perfectly around the holes in the scallops....pure fluke I swear!

Christmas again

Ok seriously simple but I LOVE it!! The Papertrey Ink Pure Poppy swiss dot ribbon is SO yummy!!

Again the papers on this card are from the DCWV paper pack I bought. This close up is of the white sparkle and I embossed it with last years Cuttlebug Snowflakes...LOVE it!

Ok LADIES!! See you tomorrow for Loonie Stampers Challenge. Tomorrow's selections were made by Miss Charlene and you DONT want to miss it!

Season's Greetings & some pictures

Yup! I have officially started to wrack up the Christmas Cards. Well honestly after the last LSC and it being seasonal/Christmas it has thrown me in full throttle. I also had my number one customer contact me in need of Christmas cards so I will be showing you a few that I have made (mostly for her) over the next little while.

This paper came from a DCWV Paper pack at M's and I LOVE it. The snowman is a sticker that I mounted on a covered piece of chipboard. and best of all the Pure Poppy Twill matched perfectly to the colors of the paper!!

That's it for today but check back often I have a few more for you including the Next Installment of LSC on Friday!

ETA: I just HAVE to share these pictures! Justin took these pictures and I tell you it is wonderful to have an almost personal photographer just down the street from here! Thanks Justin.

This first one is McKenzie after her birthday cake August 26, 2008 at her kinda sorta not really birthday party. SO CUTE!!

And this picture Justin took and edited (edited my husband out of the picture...LOL) had it blown up and framed and gave me as a gift not long after it was taken at her birthday. I almost cried....I SAID ALMOST! Anywho, thanks for peeking!

Awesome Cards

Update January 17, 2008: Anyone linked to this page hit the "Card Felt Greetings" title above ^^^^^To bring you to my current update posts. :)
Just want to add the pic in here quickly so I can get my butt to bed. I will come back tomorrow and update everything (if I remember)
My favorite Cards this year

The card above is made using the Stamp set SNOWFLAKE SERENADE from PAPERTREY INK. If you have not checked them out yet....pssst now is a fine time to do that by clicking >>>HERE<<<>

This card I made with Stampin Ups Wrapping paper available throughout the Christmas season only. nywho, I wrapped it over cardstock, added ribbon and made it look like a present. Then I stamped the sentiment from Wishing you cheer set (SU) and attached it to look like the gift tag. BTW: That is Martha Stewart Ribbon...LOVE IT!

Sweet Simple and EASY! I first made this card in Purely Pom, Soft Sky and Always Artichoke....I think I like this better! (paper & stamp from SU)

Catching Up

Well after some local drama, a lesson learned and caching up on normal household things. I am ready to catch up here. I talked about some great cards before I went on vaca, so here they are.

To the left is a fantastic card that I cased from a great stamper's site SCS. Have I ever mentioned that I love that site? Ok so, This card uses: whisper white & creamy caramel C/S, season of joy stamp set, whisper white craft ink - all SU Supplies. Sheer ribbon and gold cord gold emboss powder from Michael's.

On the right, is a blue & silver beauty!! Of course, my favorite colors. lol. Pretty simple card using ballet blue (I think) and bashful blue c/s, Silver emboss powder, season of joy stamp set & so swirly jumbo roller all from Stampin' Up! Paper Salon XL Alpha Stamps, and the Snowflake Brads which I can't remember what company they are...oops! Oh and the ribbon also from Michael's. Thats it for now I have more but have yet to take pics of them.
