Before Guide Lines

While I was anxiously awaiting the arrival of my Guide Lines Set (Thanks for sharing Char) I wated to create something along the same lines, no pun intended *smile*

So I actually whipped out my ruler and drew lines 3/4 inches apart and then stamped the design from Everyday Blessings in every other square and embossed it with a stardust glitter. Then I did the other squares with certainly celery, the same color as the card stock. When I was done I erased the pencil lines and viola!

Then I added some simple flower Primas that I have a ton of and have hardly used (aka I was hording them) Then I addedd the ribbon stem. As a final touch I used one of my build a brads in the center of the flower which has some of the background paper in the center.

I was pleasantly happy with the outcome. However now that I actually HAVE the Guide Lines set I need to ink it up and make some more cool background papers.

Have a Happy Day People!

Wedding Cards Galore

I have a few cards to share with you today. I actually did these a few days ago. I stamped one day and made 13 different cards so I am sure slowly but surely I will share them with you.

The first and second card are so elegant and not really a bunch of work. I do plan to make this card in several colors and add it to my web store. Can you imagine this card in ALL the PTI colors???

Anyway, the first one is made with Spring Moss paper embossed with Swiss dots. Next I stamped the filigree oval from the Sweet Love stamp set from PTI and punched it out with my new giga scalloped oval punch from Marvy.

Next I added the ribbon and the bow and attached the oval with dimensionals. Last I added the little flat back pearls.

So here is the same card done up with the Lavender Moon Collection. Paper, Ink and Swiss dot ribbon. I love this color for sure!

Starting on a white stamper's select base I added a matte of Swiss dots paper from the Stampin Up! Prints papers (I believe this color is the Rose Red)

Next I added a strip of black card stock punched with a new Martha Scallop punch. If you can get your hands on it I highly recommend it.

The main image is from a stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps and I just loved how it turned out with a tiny bit of water coloring. Plus I finally went and picked up the tiny tags dies from cuttlebug at Michael's. Perfect for little sentiments.

This last one uses the same image and just decorated a little different on the card. This is on the new Papertrey Kraft....which is as PERFECT as Heather Nichols Says it is.

Prima Flowers, Making Memories pewter hearts and the ribbon is a combo pack from K& Company.

I have to get to bed I am so tired I can hardly finish typing...lol Have a great day everyone!

Baby Boy Ribbon Card....

Char Style!!!! Remember this great card that Charlene made from the February Papertrey Ink Ribbons and then this one as well (scroll down a bit)??? Well, it went on to be the inspiration to Nichole for the first ever PTI Blog Hop. Ever since I seen Char's card I have wanted to try that technique. It is Brilliant!!!

I started by picking the ribbons I wanted to use. That was difficult. Char and I were actually Talking about ribbon and how many rolls we had. So today I did a massive clean of my Scrap area. This also included re-organizing my ribbon holder because I bought a "few" more rolls at M's Sunday. Just for the heck of it I counted the rolls.......354!!!! OMG and I have 10 more coming from PTI's Mach release and I am sure I will end up with 10 more for April's release. Yikes!!

Anyway, I finally decided to do a baby boy card so I selected 3 matching ribbons from American Crafts. I weaved the ribbons over cardstocka nd backed it on chocolate chip. Then I tucked the paper clip behind it. Then I clipped the word "boy" from one of the ribons and glued it to the center of the clip.

Then I embossed a peice of soft sky with the swiss dots folder from Cuttlebug. I used Burnt Umber (which I love) to ink the edges.

Next I wrapped the striped ribbon accross the bottom and made the little tag for it. I attached it with a brown safety pin and there you have it.

Thanks Charlene for SUCH a GREAT idea. I am so lad I tried it and let me tell you, it will not be last time either......LOVE IT!!

Supplies: PTI Stampers select white, SU soft sky, chocolate chip, STAMPS: PTI Borders & Corners Mono. Ed. & Mixed Messages, American Craft ribbons, palette burnt umber ink, SU soft sky ink, CB swiss dots E/F, clip & safety pin from MM.

Ahoy, It's a Boy!

Clever little line, isn't it? I can't take credit, it was Sarah's Idea. These are the cards that she picked for me to do for her Sister in law's baby shower coming up in 3 weeks. She s doing a Sailor theme in the baby's room so naturally the invitations and all the goodies will be Sailor theme. Also just a note, I "cased" these cards and just changed it up, added a few extras here and there. The original card was found on SCS.

The things that I added to it really helped change up the card. I added the hemp along the bottom to represent rope of course. I also added the "Ahoy, it's a boy". The original card also used the Nursery Necessities set (which I don't have....yet) so I used "Life's a Breeze" Also in the original was a big moon, and I liked the little moon better. The little moon I used is from the "Out on a Limb" PTI set.

My Favorite part about the changes on this card, is the info sheet that pulls up from behind, with the cute little "handle" Both of which were also my friend Sarah's Idea (I tell you , she is a closet cardmaker...must be) So clever. Thanks Sarah. I hope you like 'em!
