Loonie Stampers Challenge #5

Here is this week's LSC picked by Charlene. She picked Dark Chocolate, Aqua Mist and Lemon Tart for us to use along with any Floral Stamp Set from PTI (originally Garden of Life was picked...I think) SO I used Garden of life with mine.

Now, I also cheated a bit. About 3 weeks ago when I had the pleasure of meeting Char in MH, she brought me some printed pages of Becky's Demi Design papers. So This pattern had the perfect colors and I REALLY wanted to use more of her papers. I thought this was a good way to multi task while stamping...LOL

So I first cut the AM paper and inked the edges, matted it on white. Then I took Becky's pattern paper which is called "Recorded" from the Piffaro line. Seriously you NEED to go get them from her blog. I cut the paper into a diagonal to go across the page, then I trimmed all around the edges a bit more. Next I chopped it into strips, also cutting the white that separated the rows off. Then I inked each edge and arranged them over top the AM paper.

Then flower from Garden of life is embossed in Chocolate scented embossing powder, which sadly doesn't smell after it is heated, Bummer! I added the sentiment in Dark chocolate ink (PTI) and the lemon tart grosgrain ribbon. As a finishing touch I took my new White Opal & Lemon Yellow Liquid Pearls and made little dots.

Be sure to check in on my LSC Buddies to see what they have created!! If you are up to playing along please do and leave a link in a comment for us!! We would all Love to see what you do with this combo!! Little shout out to Maria & Donelda who I KNOW like to play along!!

Crocheted Flowers

This card is made on a Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate card stock base, followed by real red from SU and built on Vintage Cream (PTI). I used the Stampin Up weathered background and stamped it in dark chocolate ink. Once I was done that I inked the edges with a dauber followed by stamping 2 stems from the Garden of Life stamp set. I used one of the solid images that is supposed to be a flower but today I used it to make a vase by stamping it and then using he skinny leaf across the top to make the vase opening.

Of course, if you have been visiting my blog lately you have probably noticed my reconnection with crystal effects and I used it here as well. Let face when is the last time you have seen a vase that was NOT shiny?!? LOL. Ok so I used a giant brad in the center of each flower, but before covering each one with C.E. I stamped it into chocolate ink and clear embossed it. Before adding the CE I also added a clear bauble surrounded it with a bit of liquid pearls and then let it all dry. Once dry I added the brads to the center of my hand crocheted flowers (I made the cream color one and my mom made the red) and I attached them to the card.

And here is a peek at the inside of my card, finished to match the outside of course!

Thanks for visiting!! Be sure to check back, I have a bunch of posts ready to go including the Next chapter of the Loonie Stampers Challenge on Friday August 8th.

Plaid Cased Card

So do you all remember THIS post? Well I said that I had cased the card in a few different colors but I was just waiting on my PTI order with my Chocolate paper. However I only had 2 different plaid papers and I wanted a third pink toned paper. Since didn't have any, I decided to take out my Faux Ribbon set and make my own. Check it out!!

Ok, so this first one I was not overly thrilled with but I used it anyways because it took FOREVER to stamp it all out.

Since I did not like the first one I did another and I was much happier with the results.
So thanks to Alisha at Paper Prozac for such a great card. I hope you don't mind that I cased your card.
All supplies are from Papertrey Ink

Simply Said...Thank You

All I did for this card was very simple. I embossed the scalloped square Nestie with my cuttlebug.

After that I added the Certainly Celery Grosgrian ribbon and tied the bow. I kinda cheated a little on the bow. The ends would not lay where I wanted them too so I added a few glue dots.

Then I stamped these flowers from Garden of Life in regal rose & pretty in pink, Celery leaves of course and mounted on celery paper.

The sentiment from the SU Much Appreciated Set is stamped in celery as well. Thats it Thats all.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Get Well Soon with MME

This card is my new Favorite. I am head over heals with all the MME papers and really like how well the coordinate together.

I inked up the edges of the papers and set them up with dimensional stickers.

The sentiment is from the Garden of Life PTI set, The flower under it and the border around is from the set Boxes, Bags & Tags.

Another new favorite thing I have been doing lately is lining the insides with more then just blank white paper. It is a fabulous way to use up extra scraps of the same paper and makes the card feel finished!

Well have a great day, Folks! Don't forget to check back here tomorrow for round 2 of the Loonie Stamper's Challenge (LSC). I will also have links to my Fav Canadian Girls that make up the LSC!!

Wedding Cards Galore

I have a few cards to share with you today. I actually did these a few days ago. I stamped one day and made 13 different cards so I am sure slowly but surely I will share them with you.

The first and second card are so elegant and not really a bunch of work. I do plan to make this card in several colors and add it to my web store. Can you imagine this card in ALL the PTI colors???

Anyway, the first one is made with Spring Moss paper embossed with Swiss dots. Next I stamped the filigree oval from the Sweet Love stamp set from PTI and punched it out with my new giga scalloped oval punch from Marvy.

Next I added the ribbon and the bow and attached the oval with dimensionals. Last I added the little flat back pearls.

So here is the same card done up with the Lavender Moon Collection. Paper, Ink and Swiss dot ribbon. I love this color for sure!

Starting on a white stamper's select base I added a matte of Swiss dots paper from the Stampin Up! Prints papers (I believe this color is the Rose Red)

Next I added a strip of black card stock punched with a new Martha Scallop punch. If you can get your hands on it I highly recommend it.

The main image is from a stamp set from Clear Dollar Stamps and I just loved how it turned out with a tiny bit of water coloring. Plus I finally went and picked up the tiny tags dies from cuttlebug at Michael's. Perfect for little sentiments.

This last one uses the same image and just decorated a little different on the card. This is on the new Papertrey Kraft....which is as PERFECT as Heather Nichols Says it is.

Prima Flowers, Making Memories pewter hearts and the ribbon is a combo pack from K& Company.

I have to get to bed I am so tired I can hardly finish typing...lol Have a great day everyone!

Green Thumb...Again

I can hardly imagine my stamping life without this set. Green Thumb from Papertrey Ink is one of my most used set hands down. Over and over I find myself reaching for it and everytime I do, I am SO glad I bought it. So, what is your favorite Papertrey Ink Set?
For this card, I started on Stamper's Select (SS) from PTI, then added the pretty in pink prints from SU's current hostess pack. Then I used my Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle and punched SS C/S.
Next I used two of the circles from B&C Circles set (PTI) to create some false matting. After I did that, I stamped the flower pot in Palette's Burnt Umber (note to self: self...buy the whole pad and not just the cube. What a pain in the a** that is...lol) Then I stamped various flowers & leaves in pretty in pink, bluh blossom, regal rose & mellow moss. I then used my craft knife to cut down the sides of the flower pot. I wrapped the ribbon from the back of the card and in each side of the flower pot. Before tieing the bow, I added dimensional stickers and placed the circle where I wanted it. Then I tied the bow and added the sentiment from "Garden of Life" (PTI).
Then I did a circle and some flowers surrounding the Mother's Day sentiment on the inside. Makes for a cute little card for Mommy! Thanks for stoping by and I will see you again tomorrow! ~Jewels
