Have a "Cheer"ful Day!

I know, it's the lamest line yet, but it works. So the gals (and Rick) over at Papertrey Ink are now holding a monthly Blog Hop, designed to get al our creative mojo's working overtime. Anyone signed up through the forum can also sign up for the blog hop. Each month we will be given a challenge and then on the 25th of every month we will all meet in the forum, check out each other's blogs and share our thoughts about them. FUN!

If you Like my Project for this months Blog Hop Please feel free to visit the forum thread for vote and place you vote for me!! VOTE HERE
The very first ever Blog Hop is using ribbon as a focal point of our projects. Inspired by my friend Charlene's EXCELLENT entry for the GSS last month, which can be seen here. How does one come up with something like that? Pure brilliance Charlene, Way to go!!
I was sitting here only 3 hours ago with still only the idea of what I was going to do and yet to actually do it, yeah I procrastinate ALL THE TIME! Ooops. SO I started out with the new technique I learned of The Negative Effect using the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders (LOVE this technique) I used regal rose ink on regal rose cardstock. Embossed it and then mounted it on some green Bazzill. (I put off ordering the PTI cardstock and inks and of course I am kicking myself now, but it is on its way ***SMILES***)

Next I added some ribbons to the left hand side of the card. The Aqua Mist PTI grosgrain ribbon topped with some polka dot American Crafts ribbon. Believe me I think the PTI Sweet Blush would have been SO much nicer, I can't wait to get it. Then I had to create my Cheerleader pom poms. That was fun<<< not a bit of sarcasm at all...LOL

Anyway, once I figured out that this was going to work, I made another one and attached them to my card with tape runner. That stuff is so good and I know that the ribbons are clinging on there for good. To Finish off the card, bringing the whole theme together perfectly I stamped the "RAH RAH" using SU's Soft Sky & Regal Rose (which again would have been lovely in the aqua mist and Sorbet) this create sort of a shadow effect. I then matted them and attached to the card. The inside of the card is complete with a computer printed sentiment that says "Have a "Cheer"ful Day"
I hope you have all enjoyed my first edition of PTI's Bloghop. I want to give a little shout out before I go to Nichole, Julie, Jane & Rick (The Papertrey Gang) Thanks so much for such a fun activity for all us true addicts to get our minds going beyond the usual of our own creations. Also a BIG Shout out the Charlene for being the inspiration to Nichole for the first event!!!
