Cuttlebug Negative Embossing

So I was poking around SCS yesterday and found the coolest technique to try. It is called Cuttlebug: The Negative Effect which can be found HERE. So the first picture is all the different colors and patterns I have tried so far. The Blue, of course, is my favorite. I did however decided to play around with one additinal one I did that is not in the picture. By combining a new technique and a color challenge from Kristina Werner's site (HERE) using the colors, Groovy Guava, So Saffron, Blush Blossom & Wild Wasabi. I did have to sub the wild wasabi for mellow moss because I don't have any WW. I still think it turned out ok.

I started on a Mellow Moss base followed with a textured Blush Blossom. Then I used textured So Saffron and the ink along with my CB folder following the instrucions from SCS. SO COOL!! Next I wrapped some double stitched guava ribbon around the saffron and applied the butterfly matte. Then I tied the little bow and applied it using glue dot mini's. Then using the Borders & Corners Mini, Out on a Limb & Mixed Messages from Papertrey Ink I made the little tag.

On the inside of the card I stamped "Birthday hugs & wishes" from Stampin' Up! and also stamped a half circle and the flowers on the tag, in the bottom right hand corner. Pictured on the right.

So I highly recommend checking out the Cuttlebug Technique, it is so awesome. Feel free to leave a comment here if you tried it with a link to your blog, I would LOVE to see what you create!! Have a SUPER weekend ad check back again tomorrow I will be updating with another new FAB card!!

  4. This is just beautiful! I have seen it mentioned in a few places but haven't tried it yet...I must! Does it stain your folders or does the ink wash off easily?
