Happy Birthday Guide Lines

Oh I LOVE the Guide Lines set. It is SO easy to make great backgrounds and also SUPER easy to add dimension. I stamped my paper alternating dark chocolate & soft sky inks. Once I was done I stamped 5 additional squares of each color and cut them out. I added on top of my paper with 1/16 dimensional stickers.

Then I cut out a circle using my mega circle from Marvy and a scalloped circle using my Giga punch from Marvy. I then used my Faux Ribbon scalloped stamp and made it into a "not so perfect" half circle..LOL and stamped it onto the white card stock circle. After adding the birthday sentiment from Birthday Basics I stamped the background pattern image once in the center in soft sky.

I then chopped the circle off so that you would not see it sticking out from the ribbon I tied around the center. I matted it all on Aqua Mist card stock and then onto my Stamper's Select card base. Doesn't the soft sky and Aqua Mist make a great match?

At this point the card was lacking something so I started digging through a can of buttons my Gramma gave me and found these buttons that closely match and best of all the white thread was already tied through them. Perfect! I used tombow to glue them down in between the raised squares.

I think this picture gives a bit better view of the dimension. It also gives a sneak peek at the inside of the card.

I started finishing all my cards on the inside and I will continue to do so as it really makes a nicely completed project!!

I simply stamped the same colors, same image along the top and bottom. I added the faux ribbon scallop as a top and bottom border. Then I stamped 3 of the blue images and the chocolate sentiment over top.

All in all a great card! I would like to see this combo in other colors too....imagine chocolate and pink or yellow or purple...Oh the possibilities!

Thanks fr stopping by today, feel free to drop me a line in the comment section and let me know what you think? What other colors do you think this could be done in??
