Crocheted Flowers

This card is made on a Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate card stock base, followed by real red from SU and built on Vintage Cream (PTI). I used the Stampin Up weathered background and stamped it in dark chocolate ink. Once I was done that I inked the edges with a dauber followed by stamping 2 stems from the Garden of Life stamp set. I used one of the solid images that is supposed to be a flower but today I used it to make a vase by stamping it and then using he skinny leaf across the top to make the vase opening.

Of course, if you have been visiting my blog lately you have probably noticed my reconnection with crystal effects and I used it here as well. Let face when is the last time you have seen a vase that was NOT shiny?!? LOL. Ok so I used a giant brad in the center of each flower, but before covering each one with C.E. I stamped it into chocolate ink and clear embossed it. Before adding the CE I also added a clear bauble surrounded it with a bit of liquid pearls and then let it all dry. Once dry I added the brads to the center of my hand crocheted flowers (I made the cream color one and my mom made the red) and I attached them to the card.

And here is a peek at the inside of my card, finished to match the outside of course!

Thanks for visiting!! Be sure to check back, I have a bunch of posts ready to go including the Next chapter of the Loonie Stampers Challenge on Friday August 8th.
